Default Throttle Body take off?

I am cleaning up the Jeep I already put in new plugs/wires/cap/rotar clip and now I am going to clean the throttle body. I have everything off but the metal rod in the back of it. Its like an L shape that connects down about 1 foot to the throttle from my pedal. I dont want to break the plastic clip that connects it to the throttle body. Does this just pull straight out or is there a way it comes off the throttle body?

That plastic clip with the cable on it slides towards the drivers side and comes off.

You should be able to just pry it off with a wide blade screwdriver. That's the way I did it when I cleaned the throttlebody on my '88 Cherokee 4.0 and it worked just fine for me.
