Its an 89,, runs great when it runs,, 211,000 miles and doesn`t leave a drop of oil anywhere..The guy I got it from had all the seals and gaskets replaced.

Good then it has a resistor. Dropped that in 92 IIRC.

If the sig is correct and you have a 99 then I doubt that the same applies to your Jeep. They were phased out in the early 90s, so should have been long gone by the '99 models. Sorry!

For some reason I dont think my injectors are getting enough fuel on a cositant basis.
Time to pull out the manual.

What leads you to make that assumption? Is there low fuel pressure? Slow throttle response? What?

I think so, I know there is someway to measure it but just eyeballing it and thinking back to some of my other vehicles I replaced the injectors on, it seems like there should be a pretty good stream when you take the cap off the feeding tube.

Okay, well, I took my cherokee into the dealer to find out just what was wrong and they said that my fuel pump resistor(?) needs to be replaced and that the tbs was out of adjustment (apparently they remove it , take it apart clean it then re-install it along with a handful of other things but those are the two why it wouldn`t kep running. also my oxygen sensor was routed wrong,, (dont have a clue how that could have happened) but anyways, I`m going to have them go ahead and get it to where it keeps running then I`ll get the printout and and fix everything else myself,, (well, hopefully).
Hope this info helps someone..

Fuel pump resistor eh? I have a 93 xj 4.0 that seems to be plagued with spontaneous "dying". I replaced fuel pump, filter, distributor cap, rotor bug, plugs and wires, throttle position sensor, and starter. Would anyone know if the 93 model has a fuel pump resistor? My patience and pocket book are deteriorating. I parked my xj next to my buddies yj one day and now his is doing the exact same thing. Apparently jeep cancer is contagious.......

Yup, sometimes one has to wonder if its an airborne thing among jeeps,,*heh-heh*
You sound like you did the same as me. Changed everything you could think of that might be causing it to no avail. Spent over $500.00 before deciding to just take it to the jeep dealer and let them boys diagnose it, then tell me whats wrong and go from there,,
A bit of of an expensive lesson, but well learned I hope..
