So am I understanding this right. The TB are $90 but then $70 is returned as a core when your old one is sent back? So they are actually only $20?

It's $90 plus $50, so $140 plus shipping up front then a $50 refund when you send in your core.

no the price is 90.00 for the tb and 70.00 for the core charge. you get the 70.00 back when you send him your old tb. so it make the cost 160.00 and you get the 70.00 back when he gets your tb.

I second stroked jeep (Leigh Performance). I have one of his 63mm TB's and i love it. I DO get a bit of a whistle though but its not unbearable. I asked him if he could remove the top bar and use a brass butterfly and he did without problem and only charged a little more. He was also quick on his email responses.

The whistle is only at a certain rpm range and it could be due to the top bar being removed, the brass buterfly, or my intake.

Ok I kind of figured that since that seemed like a 'too good to be true' deal. Still that price is pretty fair. I'll most likely be ordering one in the next month or so.

So low-end torque & a few HP seem to be the benefits, how will this affect gas mileage or temperatures? Doesn't the orifice on the intake manifold need to be bored to match the wider TB?

From my understanding, the intake manifold has a larger opening already.

As long as you keep your foot out of it, gas mileage should remain the same.
