Default thoughts on the 2.5l engine?

i have the oppurtunity to pick up a prett cheap 4x4 xj, the only thing is that its a 2.5l 4 cylinder. i was hoping to get some comments and opinions on how this motor will hold up in performance with a 6" lift and 33" tires.

i dont plan on doing crazy trails, just an occasional run through some mud, sand and average back yard trails. not really into rockclimbing or any extreme.

any info, thoughts, comments or opinions would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

thanks for the input! looks like i missed out by a few minutes. i went to check it out and it was already sold. maybe a blessing in disguise.

to be honest, i really wanted to get a 4.0 auto. maybe me not being able to buy it was a sign. thanks!

are you looking for another jeep? def go with the straight 6 its a beast. and buy stock and build it yourself its much more of a satisfaction looking at your jeep and knowing that you did everything yourself, and that its done right.

Or you could be like me and buy one and sit there and say "What in the world was he thinking when he did this"
