Hey guys.
This problem is on my Dakota and not my Cherokee, but it is a Chrysler drive line.
Here goes my 96 Dako 318 4X4 Chrysler 8.25 front end. I pulled the front diff cover to change the fluid, found the C clips sitting in the bottom of the pumpkin apparently the threaded pin that hold the center pin in place snapped and the center pin in turning with one of the spider gears. The center pin is not ceased, but I cant get the threaded pin out, the prior owner rounded the head i have no idea how long its been like this. I want to pull the third member to get to the pin and use an easy out, will the third member go back in with the correct tolerances for back lash where it is set up now. If not how easy is to set up a third member.

as long as you keep all shim/spacer from each side in the correct spot from where they came out you should be fine posting a pic of the chunk with the front cover off will get a more reasurring answer
