Default Thinking about an aftermarket bumper

So I have a '95 XJ Country package. It has sat for about three years until I bought it earlier this year. I have been looking at the Smittybilt XRC Bumper in the Quadratec catalog that has the hitch in the bumper. Does anyone have an opinion about it ? Easy to install, not worth it any info provided will be greatly appreciated. I also hate the Country trim package so removing anything involved with that is a bonus. Thanks.

Yes have a look here for bumpers all Patrick makes are XJ bumpers and a few builder parts. I have one of their rear "Crawler Series" swing out tire carrier bumpers. It is a very high quality, HD and well made unit they have 2 lines of bumpers, check them out here. www.roxolidtrailarmor.com all are powder coated and shipping included starting around $240.

To answer your question, the installation is pretty straight forward.

If you can turn a wrench and drill a few holes, you can install it.

Humm.....$240 all Powder Coated, free shipping front bumper. One of the strongest read bumpers made and no drilling required on the back. It uses all the Class III Hitch bolt holes plus the bumper mounting and includes a nut strip if you need one with all grade 8 hardware.

My rear "Crawler Series" Swing Out Tire Carrier bumper was $600 shipped.

Those bumpers could almost be pulled off by hand all they use are stock bumper mounting holes period and they are only 1/8" not 3/16" like most HD bumpers.

When I redid my front I did with 1/4 to tie in the gear box and is supported by 16 bolts. Then added a inner support that replaced the crappy spacer. I did it with 1/8 as I didn't find any 3/16 laying around till after I was finished. My gear box popping when away and noticeable stiffen the front.
