1 Inch also using lift shackles helps reduce angles .

What about driveshafts , slip yolk eliminators ,and or drop pitman arm? Are they needed at all with a 6 inch. I have disco sway bars links already just want to have everything i might need there already.

The beauty of the SYE is that you don't have to drop the TC so you don't loose any ground clearance. You just shim the rear pinion angle. That would be my vote with that much lift.

Shim as in put shims in the rear under the leafs because the set i have have angled shims on them already. So all i would need is a 1 inch drop and shims your saying? Or just shims? And does it matter if i use poly bushings to do the drop? I was going to fab some up out of some inch square tubing. Any better ideas? Thanks for the help.

like it already was said SYE lol
otherwise why lift it to loose clearence when that was the whole reason to lift it haha
youre going to get horrible drivetrain vibrations without a specialty driveshaft

Well here's the thing. Im currently at stock height maybe lower due to sag. I have 6 inch springs and leafs ( with angled shims om the bottom of the leaf). I have the extended sway bar links , shocks to fit also. I wasnt trying to spend the money on a sye rite now. Being i need to but an adjustable trac bar for a 6 inch lift i was told. I was also told some jeeps do work with the leafs shimmed and a t. Drop. Im not worried about loosing clearance being ill be lifting it that much at once ( still a big diff from stock if you get me) . So basically im wondering if i cn get away wit it till i get the funds up for a sye. Im tired of being stock my old jeep got flooded in sandy and i took what i could off of it.

Do it right the first time or not at all.

You can get away with shims, tho. But why when you can get a HnT sye for less than $200?

Wait to do the sye- you can get the kit for about 200 and it also makes your driveline stronger. If you look under your jeep, you'll see that dropping the tcase will also increase strain on your motor and trans mounts which may already be in poor shape.

well id like to do it rite but i lost a lot in the storm i lived on the beach so im trying to get back to normal jeep wise also. already spending money i dont have on a trac bar cause from what im told that is definitely needed. im sure everyone would advise to get a sye but there's way worse things i think than doing a tc drop n shims for the time being as long as it would work and i wouldnt be doing it for it to end up in the drive way. i could be asking if its ok to put blocks n spacers in the jeep lol.

You asked for a recommendation, and you got one (multiple times). If you don't want to use the advise given then you don't have to so you don't really need to keep pushing the point, lol. Though if you're really that tight on cash at the moment, why the heck are you even putting a lift on your Jeep in the first place? Use your money on things you NEED, not extra goodies.

With a six inch lift you're better off saving up and doing it right. You want to go cheap now, but how much is is going to cost you when you're 100+ miles from home and you drop the rear drive shaft or something else because you were running crazy angles?
