Default Tape Player Issue

Hey guys. I got one of those tapes with the wire that you can connect to your ipod. I'm trying to use it and when you put it in it just spits it out after it sounds like it is cycling through it. The tape symbol comes up and the arrows alternate, but it just spits it back out. Any ideas?

what is a tape player?? hahaha just joking.

have you tried to clean the tape head?

To me if the tape deck is spitting it out, that means something physical has gone wrong and its not able to hold the tape in. (not 100% though)

its possible, but that tape adapter just uses the 3.5mm connector right? it should work.

tape decks are complicated and finicky when they are old. one of the tape decks on my old stereo spits them out, but the other works fine
