Default Taillights out

Recently had headlight switch replaced and realize my taillights are totally out. Headlights go on and turn signals work too. Any ideas what this is or temporary fix suggestions like running a hot wire from the battery. Thanks in advance

Have you even checked the fuses yet? What have you done? Do the dashlights work? The side markers?

I think it might be a relay or a short in the wire itself but im not sure which ones it could be.

Changed the bulbs but still no luck. Took to a close friends garage and tested all fuses and checked out wiring diagram. Found that over 500 other jeepers have same prob. Found bad relay. Replaced it but still wouldnt work due to it not getting power. Improvised by running a wire loop into the relay socket but kept sides insulated. Problem solved. Thanks guys.
