Taillights/dash lights out. Not fuse. What else could it be?

Default Taillights/dash lights out. Not fuse. What else could it be?

So all the fuses are good. My taillights and dash lights are out. My headlights and brake lights work. I know the taillights and fog lights are on the same circuit and sure enough the fog lights don't work. In the past changing the number 7 fuse fixed the problem. I did one time keep blowing 10amp fuses in 7 and had to fix it on the road and only had a 20amp fuse left so I put that in there. That was a few months ago and everything has been fine until now. I can't find any posts that help me. Someone said it could be the headlight switch but the headlight switch works it also works to twist the dome lights on so if the headlight switch was out the headlights wouldn't work so that can't be it. I can't imagine having to go through all the wiring throughout the whole body of the jeep to find a burnt out wire somewhere or one of the myriad grounds, that would be insane, basically disassembling the whole jeep. There has to be an easier way! Thank you for taking the time to help.

The headlight switch could still be the problem. I have had times when I turn on my headlights, and no dash lights come on. When this has happened to me I fiddle with the headlight switch and the lights come back on. I have not stopped to see if any other lights are off, but have assumed they could be.
The headlight switch has several circuits going thru it, and they wear out separately. I would start at the switch and test the wiring there first, if you can pull the switch and get power to the lights by jumping the wires, that would be a good time to look into replacing the switch.
Hope it is that easy of a fix.

Good luck

Thanks, I figured it only had 2 so I dismissed it, but I'll check.
