My tach is giving me a headache. Well, not that bad, but it's starting to bother me. It was perfectly fine till a week ago.

It's off, by like a click. When it reads 1250rpms, it sounds like 1000rpm (I know that drone like the back of my hand). It rarely rests below 1000rpm, and never goes all the way to the resting point like it used to during warm idle. I have managed to get it to go back to the way it was by pushing my jeep a little hard around a corner, but once I shut her off and restarted the morning after, back to being off.

I'm wondering if the tach being off will affect performance, or if the sensor only affects the tach readings. If it's affecting performance in anyway, I'd like to be able to fix it, or at least trouble shoot it. Any ideas?

Stock gauges = not 100% accurate. Your actual is what it is.. gauges can lie. you can pull your gauge cluster and check/clean connections and see if that helps.

That's what I figured. Just don't want it to be more then just the gauges.
