i have a 3 in. rc lift right now and plan on adding another too with a block and shackle lift. could i drop the case now or should i wait till i lift it more?
is your lift an aal or full packs? either way blocks are a bad idea leading to axle wrap issues and sagging springs, and with an aal shackles are a bad idea, they allow the spring to overcompress beyond intended and will lead to premature sagging. you can use bumpstops the same length of the shackle to prevent this though.
anyway back to your question.
what year is the jeep?
with a 96+xj you basically will need an sye at that height.
and with a pre 96 you should have an sye, but some people have gotten away with t-case drops.
what is the point of lifting it when you are just going to lower the lowest part on the jeep?
