Question Sye for a NP242

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone had a Tom Woods Sye kit on a NP242? I am sittin at about 4.5" of lift and diff. got the vibs. and need to do a SYE kit but don't know if i should spend the extra money on the Tom Woods Sye kit or just go with the Hack and Tap. I have heard good things about the Hack and Tap i am just nervous about cutting and drilling it myself i want it to be nice and staright. It would suck to f*** up a perfectly good shaft! Let me know what you guys think Thanks!

The TW kit is a hack & tap. Only difference is he hacked it for you and you have to split the case to install it.

If you would like some numbers on an RE hack/tap .... give me a shout.

I find starting the Jeep and putting it in reverse gives me a very straight cut. A cutoff wheel in your grinder is the best tool for the job, IMO.

When i did my hack N tap i sook pics as i did it check out this link. a little info on what you are in for. it is not hard at all. i had my t-case out when i did it but it is just as easy to leave it in. just remove both drive shafts and put the t-case in 4LOW and start the engine and put it in gear and let it idle while you are cutting it. pice of cake.
