that sweet smell of antifreeze

i smell antifreeze which normally means heater core. first time replacing a heater in 2001 cherokee. anyone have any suggestions.

its a pain in the butt.... but if you search on here you will find a buncha threads on it..... the entire dashboard has to b peeled back and the black box pulled out...also have to unhook stuff under the hood... took me and a buddy 5 hours to do

pick a weekend to do it and clear your schedule. its a long tedious task, i suggest getting small bags and putting all little parts in the bags and labeling them so it will make it easier when things need to go back together.

i'd replace the evaporator core while your in there, so you don't have to replace that again down the road, and give everything a good cleaning

Sucks all those links are for 97+ I have a feeling 96 and below are probably a lil different...

Small parts
Just some tips.I use a cup cake bakeing tray to keep parts in order and a magnetic tray is always a real help.
