Default Sway Bar Disco's

Ok well my waggie has a 3in lift and I picked up some disco's form Rough Country for 30 bucks but for a 4in lift. I planned on modding them to fit the 3 in, but have no clue how much to cut off. I thought i would just cut an inch of and re drill the hole well these suckers are LONG even cutting an inch off would not be enough so what i am asking is who has disco's on there 3 in lift and could you measure from center bottom bolt to the bar. Appreciate the help.

Another Question, I have to unbolt the steering gear box to install my shackle tow point on the front, What position should I have jack stands to make the gear box easier to line back up.

The sway bar link should fit even though they are for a 4" lift. Which ones do you have? I used 6" sway bar links on my 4" lifted Tj and they worked fine. You could just measure the stock ones and add 3" to that for the length if you do plan to cut.

As long as they disconnect when I go off road then I don't give a rat's butt. Mine has to be on level ground to disco or connect and they do that fine so I'm good to go with that length.

Stryker, according to Warrior's site, a 10" long disco should work for 0"-3" of lift. Link is here. HTH.

I don't think there is an easy way to address that situation. I tied mine up so it wouldn't fall in my face while wrestling with it. It is heavy and you need to work laying on your back with your arm extended so it is a real PITA but it can be done. It is helpful to have Tess or someone there to hand you stuff and help you guide it into place. I did several things at the same time on mine like changed the spacer to the steel one from C-Roc and put the bumper structure in place and upgraded to grade 8 bolts that are a tad longer. Besides threading them into the steering box I placed a set of nuts on the engine side of the box for safety. My box ain't workin' loose anytime soon.

Thanks I figured 12 was too long so I will trim about 2 in off of it then. Blue said 8 so maybe I will do 9in .

Blue thanks for the info on the gearbox I guess it would suck to do with three hurt(not broken anymore) fingers.

You want the swaybar level with the ground where the link comes up through it. Only time to compensate from this is for clearance to coil if necessary.

This will allow the swaybar to operate as intended. Theres a reason the manufacturer uses a particular diameter in the swaybar to achieve required results.

If I was to follow that idea Overland It looks like My link would only need to be 6 inches long which is basically stock. I added 3 in of lift... Not sure what to do any more. I installed the sway bar not hooked up though just to get an idea of where everything fit together and Still unsure what length I want to cut these other ones.

Just take the stock length and add 3". It'll work just fine. My conversion kit is almost 3" longer with my 3.5" lift and it works great.
