Hi. I have a Cherokee Orvis (99) 4.0l petrol. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position, 5 loud beeps sound. Also, when I leave the car and lock the vehicle with the remote, the indicator lights do not flash twice as they should (indicating that the alarm/immobiliser is set). Has anyone had this problem and/or know what the problem might be? Thanks

 

The beeps are normal becaues that do it in my xj.

 

Yeah but your XJ is not normal it bleeds Red coolant.


Now is this a problem that just started occuring or has it done it the whole time. If I am not mistaken on I would consult the operators manual on the key fob and see what it says.
