do i need to have a sway bar on my jeep

Which one? The back one no. If its not your dd then you can dump the front one as well but only if you plan on driving it short distances. Some ppl on here don't use either but will tell you that it will have more body roll with out the front one on.

it is the front one , i was going to just get a aftermarket one. but i want to replace all of the tire rods first an ball joints

what about quick disconnects? retain on road capabilities and gain flex off road.

newport is about 20-30 min to the border. in between there and the conn river valley is really remote and ill bet there is decent wheelin... im allways down for suggestions of new places to ride if you happen to remember a town, or something of the sort... funny side note- a guy from texas, who im assuming has never been to far north, suggested i run just run my summers this winter... i laughed... happy trails.

so the quick disconects just take place for the whole sway bar and mount up in place of them. not using a bar that streches the lenght of the front right
