Hey XJStriker, you seem very helpful for us Newbies. One question (for now), it's recommended at that site to scrap the BA tranny if there is a problem and opt for the AX-15. Do you know if the AX-15 is compatible with the 2.8 block? Mine is a GM Performance crate 3.4. The previous owner swapped the transmission with a four speed by mistake and now revs very high at highway speeds, so I'm looking to revert back to a 5 speed. Any thoughts?

This was a good post so I figured a new thread is in order. I have the AW-4 tranny in both my jeeps with the 4.0 so I really can't help you with this subject but i bet there are a few members who can.

My take on this is that if one bolted up to the engine the other should as well. Don't know much about the 2.8 but the above statement is just reasonable. Some have suggested that the BA 10 was not such a bad tranny if just used for street duty.
