swapping DANA HP30 for a LP30 downgrade?

my comanche got water in the front axle and ruined all the bearings in it, it had a hp dana30 with the vac crap. i went and picked up a dana30 out of a 2000 cherokee is this a serious downgrade cause its a low pinion axle??

to late lol, ill make it work, i already got a t-case drop. just gonna slap it in there and let it ride if the driveshafts in a bind ill break out the grinder

Also, lp front axles are inherently weaker than hp fronts because the was the gears are cut. Lp run on the coast side of the gear or the convex side of the gear, While HP run on the drive side of the gear or the concave side. The concave side of a helical gear is stronger than the convex. But your only running 32's so meh

yeah im not going to run big tires on this jeep(33 max with light wheeling), i have way to many other projects going on. if i ever get around to putting 37 on the manche im going to put some chevy axles under it.

Reverse cut gears do not use the Coast side of gear as the Drive side.
The gears are REVERSE CUT so that means the coast side is the coast side, the drive side is the drive side.
Standard on the left, reverse cut on the right.

Chevy front 44's are a passenger side drop. You'll need to change to a passenger-side front output t-case.
