well thats leaf springs, so you'd have to weld in coil buckets and tracbar mount. then i think that would be a pass side diff so your t-case wouldnt work.

your better off finding a different axle

also, why do you want to swap out the 30? how big of tires are you running?

it would be alot of fab work. it would be wide for a cherokee so if you were going to do it might as well get the rear also in a full width

there are much better axles out there for swapping under your xj.

the simplest swap would be a 1980-1992 jeep wagoneer dana 44, it is close to stock width, drivers side differential and plenty of room for link mounts. Just avoid the vacuum disconnect center sections(83-84).

keep in mind its a 6 lug axle. and you will need to convert your current rear axle or swap in another rear axle.

As others have said, that is both a full width axle and its passenger drop.

If your only planning to go to 35's, your Dana 30 will be fine. If your going to go above that, then start looking at other possibilities, such as a Ford Dana 44 out of a late 70's F-150, and then get the matching 9" rear as well. Or as suggested you could do some Waggy 44's front and rear.
