I heard that the ecu needed to be changed is that correct or not needed?

 

Not really it will just throw a code

 

Any way to trick it so it won't throw the code? Such as grounding out a wire or " looping " it ?

 

Not really it will throw a code because its not receiving proper data from the auto I had the auto ECM after my swap because I couldn't fine a 5spd. It was telling me the car was moving above 15 mph while in neutral, transmission oil temp was to high, solinoids were bad and torque converter was bad. But drove just fine
