i have a 87 cherokee inline six 4.0 with the renix system was sitting for three years before i bought it and i have replaced alot to get it running but im on my second fuel pump and filter and its still loud as hell and it never had a ballast resistor i bought one and put it on but wouldnt stay running with it just start up and shut right off so i left it off (?). i just passed emissions a week ago and was running great but now as i was driving on the free way going about 70 i tried to pass and it started to feel as if it was starving for fuel or if ignition was cutting out i exited the freeway and felt like it was getting worse, revs fine in neutral and park and starts fine but in drive its surging until i get to speed and stumbles and backfires through intake during acceleration. it has new plugs, air filter, and coil all before this started happening. has this happened to anybody and how did you fix it
