I've had a surging in my jeep since I bought it. When I put it in gear or I come to a stop alot of times it will die. I put a new TPS on and no matter how I adjust it it will not clear up. It also seems to be idling a little low around 400rpm's. My jeeps a 89 4.0 and if anyone else has had this problem please help me out, It wore me out 2 footing all day at Rodney's farm this weekend. Thanks JON......

Check the MAP sensor. Mine needed to have a good cleaning to make my idle smooth out. Yours may be related to that. jon do you have the lunghd diagnostics page for the Renix? I have posted it several times! That is my bible for doing the sensor diagnostics on a Renix. Gives you multi-meter reading data and when to replace a sensor levels. PM me if you can't find the link.
