probably not. not to many jeep people do forced induction mods to their engines. buy a t-bird supercharger and a megasquirt kit and slap it on that sucker. be a trend setter and make a thread showing others how to do it.

You'd probably just have to make an adapter plate and get a longer belt, but maybe have to change the PS pump to clear it. If you know someone with a CNC machine you'd be set! Who knows, but I would love to see someone do it and give a good write up!!

Better be sure your engine is in tip-top shape before you go adapting ANY turbocharger to it, otherwise you'll be looking at buying a new engine as someone else said.

I would recommend trying to find something around 5psi. Anything above 10 on a naturally aspirated engine is begging for trouble. I have found that 5 psi seems to work the best and allow for nearly trouble free usage. Testing it out on my friends TJ before doing it to my XJ. He has had it on for nearly two years with almost no issue.

Two things.
One. What years had the supercharger on them. I thinks I might have to be getting me one of those.
Two. If the set psi on the T-bird charger is 8psi. That is based on the crank pulley size, the size of the pulley on the supercharger, and the engine displacment. If you change one of those peramiters, your psi changes as well.

1989 through 1995 Ford Thunderbird Supercoupes. As a Mustang guy I can tell you that those blowers put out more than 5psi at speed. With a proper adapter plate it would work but the ports for the T-Bird's blowers, how do you get by the the intercooler and intake ports being on the back lower side? Seems it you put the charger on the side of the 4.0 they would be facing the transmission and on the other hand, being mounted on top of the engine, is there even room?
Is there not a kit that someone makes for this engine?

Your jeeps ECM is not designed for forced induction and your engine will run lean at high rpm's if you do not upgrade the fuel system and retune the ecm. Any considerable boost requires an intercooler, seeing as the super coupe uses one its probly a good idea. Your never going to be able to just "slap" a supercharger on your engine its going to take quite a bit of work, parts, and a decent amount of ECM tuning. You do have the advantage of 8.8:1 compression ratio and stock forged engine internals on your side and you would have something quite unique. Oh and for any forced induction setup get a wideband air/fuel meter because running your engine lean will ensure its demise...
