Default Supercharged! < misleading title

so anyway, when i hit the gas pedal my jeep makes the sound of a supercharger whining sometimes. im just wondering why this might be? (and if it relates to any problems)

I'd check for a leak around the air intake, throttle body, intake manifold etc.

Where is the sound coming from?

Alternators can whine. Psteering pumps can whine, lots of stuff.

grab a garden hose and figure out where it's coming from, first. A supercharger whine is very distinct and loud.

thanks guys ill take all that into account and figure it out. just scanned my check engine light.. 11 codes. oh dear. o2 sensors. misfires. evap leak. other random stuff

nah i understood. id prefer vacuum line however because it fits in your earhole better
