Ever since I put new pads on the front of the Jeep, I've had a constant chirp at what seems to be both wheels. Sounds like two canaries hoppin' on the good foot and doing the bad thing. It goes away with the slightest pressure applied to the pedal. Any way to make them shut the f#$k up?

What did you do to the rotors? Did you just add pads and thats it. Cause your rotors could be warped and causing a chirping noises.

I bet you forgot to put the Anti-rattle clips back on didn't you... Ha ha and if you didnt then you must not have made sure they were on correctly. Take the wheel back off and have a look. They also sell new ones at auto zone for less than 5 bucks.

There weren't any anti-rattle clips on the old pads. I thought about that, but i figured if they weren't there before... eff em.

I guess I COULD replace the old crappy rotors. But... ugh.

Well where the hell do they go? I mean, the pads have those big retainer clips on the back of them. I don't figure they could rattle with those things, since it takes a heck of a lot of prying to even get them to move.

Yeah Stryker, stop buying things from the J.A. Pan Company. I don't see any place for anti-rattle clips on this setup, but the rotors could stand to be replaced, they're pretty glazed over. Oh well, add it to the list...

Brakes are way over rated anyway, takes all the fun out of off roading when you can actually stop

That's what I used to tell ppl that rode my old trail bike. They'd ask where the brake was, and I'd just say "... What's a brake?"
