Yes-but you usually need a remote starter switch so that you can trigger the starter while looking at a voltmeter connected to the battery. I'd do the basics like remove cables, clean, clean, clean connections with wire brush til shiny and put back on. As said previously, sometimes all your stuff works but as soon as the big current draw happens at starting, you lose connection due to dirty contact points. BruceB asked you to jump the terminals on the starter with the key in RUN. If it starts fine, then you know it's the ignition. Search YOUTUBE if you don't know how to do this.

I'll try hitting those connections you mentioned again. Maybe I missed something or something is internally corroded that I didn't consider. I'll keep everyone updated.

yea..most people have a remote starter, and it is voice operated... son, daughter, wife, brother, friend, cousin, etc....

Was reading other posts..Question for experts: would a bad neutral safety switch cause the symptoms that was posted here? And to APTech, have you tried starting the Jeep with the gearshift moved to the neutral position and even moving (or jiggling) the shifter while trying to start it?

Dielectric grease should be restricted just like R-12. It's to be used on spark plug wire boots and nothing else.

A remote starter switch only bypasses the ignition module by supplying current directly to the starter. I saw a guy once who did it using the car's dip stick.

Do you guys have any reason for this or r u just following old myths? Dielectric grease is non conductive and prevents corrosion so it can and should be used on pin connectors, bulbs, spark plugs, and any other terminals. When putting it on bolt together terminals or battery posts connect them then put the grease over top... duh
