Your looking at around $90-130 with out tax and about $40-70 for the core so don't trash can your old one. You can also go to a junk yard and get one for about $20-30 and have the parts store test it too.

I hope it works out.

Did you ever had your battery tested? If you put in a good full charged battery it should run.
Sorry that didn't fix it. Did you have them test the old one?

so they tested the battery and its fine?

do a load test with the alternator at the battery connections. and see what kind of amperage your alt is producing. if the batt is fine and your new alt is in good working condition then you need to check the wiring and cables from the alt to the batt

No, your battery is just fine. It needs to be charged back up. Did you have them test the new alt. and your old one?

you only need your batt for not running and for starting if it died while it was runing its NOT your battery check your ground straps fallow them back also there might be a fuse and or relay for the alternator get your DMM (digital multi meter) put it to DC voltage put it on the positive and negative of the battery while its runing if it doesnt read anything over 13 its still something to do with your alternator check double check it at your positive on the alternator the cable that is screwed on and put the negative on the out side metal of the alternator or the block some other portion of metal OTHER then your negative on the battery to make sure your ground straps from the negative are functioning check for corrosion or rust also on your battery and on your alternator connections and ground straps
is the alternator internaly regulated?
if its externaly regulated try changing the regulator out

if your still having an issue take the alternator the new one to a DIFFERNT store then you bought it from and have them test it
i work at autozone and have seen stuff directly out of the box that is bad

I just got done checking evveryyyy ground wire and all the wires that go from the batt. to the alt. and everywhere else. everything was clean and in good condition and showed almost no wear and tear so its not the wires and connection. What else keeps the battery from dieng?

Go have the new alt tested. May have a bad one out of the box. It happens. Also, did you just visually look at the grounds or did you take them off? Sometimes looks can be deceiving.
