Stuck shifter rod?
Well after a very muddy hunting season my jeep started to not to go in into park. It would shift through but I would put it into park and it would be in reverse. I check the cable and adjusted it and it helped but last night I went to shift it into park and it hung up and cable tabs broke on the bracket in the center console. I unhooked the cable from the lever attached to the shifter rod and it seemed to be stuck. After much kroil oil and a small hammer I was able to knock it into park.
My question is how easy should that lever be to work? And if it is stuck what potentially could be holding it up?

Thanks for any help.
