Default Mysterious squeak in the back

So this has been happening for months now and i may want to look more into it lol. I never paid much attention to it since i have a vehicle that ran and am happy with that atleast but now since i have a backup car i can now start to fiddle with my cars more and not be screwed with rides to work. Anyways i notice everytime i take a right turn at a semi rough speed or quickness i have a metallic kinda sound in the back area like metal against metal, I havent looked into it yet but i may be suspecting maybe the leaf springs need some lubrication between the mounts? it only happens when turning right and have yet to hear it turning left. But the odd thing is i have a feeling its something shifting too i dont feel it but just sounds like it because it just isnt a quick onetime noise. I pull into my neighborhood and its fairly bumpy and each bump it makes the sound and does a squeaky squeaky squeaky squeaky squeak noise over one bump and a flat type of turn it sometimes squeak once but its more carried out then a quick squeak its a longer squeak. It is making me crazy lol. I do have a very slightly loose gas tank due to hacking together the original gas tank straps after snapping them and using a threaded sleeve to put it back together but i cant tighten them up fully due to spacing but i have to give the gas tank a good push to move it, But it doesnt squeak. Also i wonder if this could be part of the clunk im experiencing and feeling in the front end on a hardish takeoff. Again feel but i can be wrong lol.

My first guess would be the seat latches. They came.with a rubber isolators that on any XJ at this point is probably gone ot very detoriated. A temp fix ive ised in the past has been to wrap the latch shaft with a few turns of electrical tape. Thall keep mine from squeaking for about a week.

I havent looked around to see if those rubber isolators are avaliable new anymore.

An easy way to test this is to fold the seat down and see if the noise goes away.

Huge photo. Anyways, I had a similar issue and it was this bracket that holds the tailpipe up. It was rubbing against the leaf spring.

For me, it was solved when my transfer case drop was installed (I know, I know, i'm saving up to do it right with an sye).

Of course, if you haven't done any suspension work to cause it, then it may not be the issue.

Pretty sure the set up for '96 down is different the '97 and up. In a '97 and up a muffler clamp is used in conjunction with this hanger that is screwed into a nut strip in side the uni-body on the passenger side.

Honestly I don't know the answer to that, but I imagine so. It's a 1996 and has been in my family since 2001/2 and I have almost all the maintenance records and no mention of the clamp being installed later.

Inspect your park brake cables. I had one rub on the inside of the wheel while going around turns....
