Hi all,went to leave this morning,and I got a code P0705 Transmission range sensor circuit. Oreillys cleared the code, and it has not come back on yet. AInt suggestions?

 

Roll with it. See if it comes back. Go from there.

 

Any symptoms?

This code often related to the neutral safety switch. Which can often be "refurbished" to return full function.

If you have no symptoms, this is something that you can deal with later....

 

This code *shouldn't leave you stranded anywhere. Just clean your NSS and adjust your linkages when you get home.

 

You can do a check of the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS/NSS) connector by the trans dipstick tube to verify that the connector(s) are secure and the the related wiring isn't chafed in the immediate area.



If you find yourself stuck on the side of the road with a CEL on and the engine/trans acting up, you can try disconnecting the TCM and see if it works okay then. If it does you will be stuck manually shifting your transmission the whole time it's disconnected.
