Stuck axle nut!

Yes I know this. Sorry for the confusion, I was just saying when I initially tried getting to the ujoint I decided I wanted to just remove the three hub bolts and not the center, then broke one of the three. I guess it really has nothing to do with removing the axle nut problem, I just felt like hearing my voice

This sounds like a typical MI jeep that hasnt been worked on in years, I know been around several MI vehicles. HEAT!!!!

Lol yupp we didn't have any MAP or propane, threw some anti sieze on there for next time (when I change my axle seals sometime soon)

if you use heat on those hub bearings, you will likely boil out the grease and damage the seals.

you can take all day using a 6 foot cheater bar, or 30 seconds with an impact. whichever way you want to use. trust me, i've done it both ways. guess which way i'll never use again. lol.

Before I had an air hammer, I used a 3' cheater and a 3# hammer. Use a pipe cheater on the breaker bar. While putting about 100# on the cheater HIT the breaker bar next to the cheater. Use a SHARP blow what is needed is the shock. The different parts have different frequencies. So when you ring them like a bell it helps bust them loose. That is why a good impact hammer makes stuff so much easier to take apart. It hits a LOT of times!
