have you gotten under it and looked at the linkage? try rolling the vehicle back and forth a little to see if it frees up as you are trying to put the lever into another position. if that doesnt work then pull the linkage off (under vehicle)and try to manually pull it.

yea if you linkage is working properly then try rolling in reverse like he said. if that doesnt work then drive it into a tree and part it out.

ok so if its stuck throw it in neutral and use a little bit more force see what happens and also check to see if you might have smashed your linkage

Sometimes mine will stick... happens cause I don't use 4Lo much.
- Get to a level surface
- Roll forward between 1-5mph
- put trans in neutral (still rolling)
- firmly push the transfer case shift lever all the way up into 2wd
- put trans back into gear

I have found this to be the best way to get it to release...
Drive to your local freeway.. get to the on ramp. . floor it. get up to about 65 mph. (might be a little higher rpms than normal) then throw it in park. as you put it in park try moving the 4wd lever to 2 wd. this should free it up. if not try checking your tire pressure.
