I skimmed through the thread..

Someone mentioned Odyssey. Sears Platinum battery's are rebadged Odysseys, a bit cheaper than Optima without the gamble of getting a bad battery from Mexico.

Odysseys are made in USA still... Optima took their plant to Mexico and quality suffered.

In the event of a failure under warranty you'll probably have an easier time dealing with Sears.

One guy mentioned his walmart battery i bought a (n)ever start for my audi and fried it b/c of the stereo, they wouldnt replace it saying it was my cars voltage output although it had a meter in the dash which said different, so i went with a die hard. Cooked that one too but they had a brand new one ready to put in for no charge while they tested it. Just my experience but keep it in mind.

No one has mentioned duralast gold.....did i make a poor decision in buying it? I've had nothing but good luck with it *knock on wood*

I use them in everything including my motorhome which sees long periods of storage, etc and they do fine.

Excide Select orbital is what I run in mine,just like an optima only a little cheaper,got mine at kragens.
