stroker 4.0 questions
alright well i have a 4.6 stroker motor i want to put in my 96 xj but i have to have it pass emisions too cuz it's OBDII. So the question is when i install the motor what will i have to do to get it to pass emisions? if anything at all... thanks for the help.

It's just a bigger engine. It should pass. It doesn't have a big lopey cam does it? Or much bigger injectors? It will still have all the emission equipment, right? Put a high flow cat on it, don't run without one.

oh sorry forgot to mention got a crane cam and 26lb injectors its bored .40 over, crane cam lifters thats about it performance wise. still got all my emisions stuff on the motor and stock catalytic converter.

No need to get a different cat, the stock cat is fine. Contrary to popular belief most if not all modern cats are "high flow." The extremely modest gain in performace isn't worth the additional cost...seriously.

i'm not sure but around here the emission test is done with scan tool no exhaust sniffer's if there's a check engine light on they won't even hook the scan tool to it they just automatically fail it. so main goal is to keep the engine light off.lol
