Default 33's on a 3 inch lift for a 98 sport manual

I have a question. I have stock gearing in my 98 sport 4x4 with a 3 inch lift. Can I put 33's on it without rubbing? I go off-roading roughly 5 to 10 times a year but no rock crawling yet obviously. Or what size do you recommend if I am going to use it for a daily driver as well. Let me know thanks

you will get rubbing with 33's on a 3inch lift. I would go with 31's. With the 31's you could keep the stock gearing and keep it a DD.

Yeah with only a 3 in lift you will need to do alot of trimming of the fenders if you plan to take it offroad or add another 2in more of lift.

I just installed a rough country 3in lift and had a few buddies at the shop let me installed 31's and 33's off there wranglers to give me a idea before i bouht tires what would work the 31's fit perfect the 33's filled the wheel well and rubbed bad when flexing.

as long as you don't have any more than 4 1/2" of backspacing on your rims...

I have 33"s on my 3" lift. It's really not as bad as everybody says, but I think mine sits higher than 3", never measured it though. All you have to do is a basic trim (cut and fold) and bumpstop accordingly. Longer travel shocks could help too.

Just so you know, your jeep will loose a lot of power with stock gearing, plan on a regear in your future. I'm planning on it soon.
