Default Strange Temporary No BUS error

Today on my way home from work, I started my jeep and noticed a no bus message and engine light. I drove it about a block and pulled into a parking lot and put it in reverse and backed out of the lot. Once I put it in drive the engine light kicked off and all the guages started working. I stoped to have lunch with a buddy and when I when I started it up everything was fine. Hasent come back yet. Anyone else have this issue before. I hope it was just a bad connection or just some one time thing.

I got this. When my CPS went out. Jeep died and wouldn't start again until I replaced it. Can't say that is what's going on with yours, but you might put a voltmeter on it and test it, just to make sure.

Cool

No Bus message is a bad one. While I'm glad that your doing ok with it now....I think you should take it to have the PCM scanned for a "lost cummincation" trouble code.
The No Bus occurs when any of the four system modules fail to communicate. PCM, TCM BCM IPC modules all send identification signals during start up and while running. Believe it or not , when the "No Bus" message is displayed 99% of the vehicles don't even start....you are very lucky it did not stran you.

I get this once in a while. I've heard that the connection behind the instrument panel can get oxidized, and needs to be cleaned.

Usually it goes away on it's own. Even if it doesn't, I've always been able to make it go back to normal by pushing all of my fuses in. I probably need to replace some of my fuses.
