Default Strange looking leaf spring on drivers side??

I was changing out the rear transmission seal and I look at the leaf springs

and the one on the drivers side has one that looks very bent and kind of

sticks out, but the other side does not have that, It looks like it was made

that way.

Any idea what that is?

Thanks.

A picture would help. Going by description, I'm thinking a helper spring. Or worse case, a broken spring.

This is what it looks like, nothing like this on the passenger side. Except for the bent spring, Both sides have equal amounts of springs and they look the same. Also, the drivers side rear shock is not connected because the upper mount broke, already plan on fixing that.

Defiantly a helper spring. Too bad it was installed wrong. It's not doing anything there. Remove it and move on since there is nothing on the passenger side.

I just did a few searches, I guess the helper spring should be on top? is that right?

Thanks.

If anything, it may go up a fuzz since it's pulling the pack down. There is nothing on the back side?

More like it's upside down. The hump should be in contact with the spring. Needs the rest of the hardware too. Right now, it's decoration.
