I use to run one of those dyno max turbo cat back systems. I thought it made my jeep sound a little to much like a ricer. I did eliminate the muff and that was a little to loud for street use. I got alot of warnings. That was my 95 and it wasnt on the road much longer after that. I think to do it a gean I would buy the pipe from dyno max and a magna flow muff. Save some cash and have good deep sound.
However on my 99 I have the stock pipe all the way back but no muff. Its as loud at a cat back system since the stock pipe is more restrictive then the cat back pipe you buy. I know 2 locals running magna flows and it sounds just like there's. Not to loud but louder then stock. But a nice deep and throaty sound.
If you don't care what I say don't read my posts that doesn't bother me a bit. And yes I am a red neck and proud to be one. I listen to country hunt fish spent most of my life out doors don't like it stay inside!

i think most of us are (i am) but no one stated anythin bad about this, atleast from what i read
I think what people are pointing out is they dont really care what you think. lol.
Personally I think every vehicle should have a Cat and ATLEAST a cherry bomb muffler. Straight pipes just makes us look like hill billys that dont care about people around us.
We fight that stereotype daily, I had to sell my XJ because my clients thought I was a damn hill billy. Biggest mistake i ever made.
