to remove the factory roof rack so I only have to remove these bolts across the top.

Is there a nut on the other side of the bolt I have to worry about.
And are the rails weldable

There are rivnuts in the roof that those torx screws go into.
It is possible when removing the torx the rivnut will break free and everything will just spin.
