ok in my 2001 xj the guy that had it before me put a aftermarket cd player and i want to put a stock cd player back in it, how big of a deal is this because he put plastic frame around it so it would fit, and im sure there is some kind of wire harness. thanks in advance

Should be able the remove the aftermarket stuf easily. As for the wiring it depends if he bought a wiring adaptor or if he chopped the factory plug. If he got the adaptor then it's plug and play, if he chopped the factory plug then you need to splice a factory plug back in. Other then that it's just unscrew the mounting stuff and screw the plug the factory stereo in.
