hi all im trying to work out if my xj is still got stock suspention does anybody know the distance from the centre of the wheel to the edge of the arch/fender on a stock one i have a pic of mine for reference

that doesnt look stock, it looks like it has at least a 2'' lift

17 inchs from center of hub to bottom of fender in the front and 17.5 in the back. That doesnt look stock. Prob an 1.5 to 2 inch lift

I need that figure too.. How can I find out if my Jeep is at stock height or not?

i have 20 front and 22 rear can i assume a 3" front 4.5" rear

Yeah make sure you get the direct center of the hub. and the very bottom of the fender.

i did measure correct but its not quite on even ground will measure again in the morning the rear springs look new so maybe they will settle a bit

Shouldn't matter if you are on even ground or not. If you measure at center of the hub ie very center of run to the bottom of the fender flair you will get the proper measuerment. So it should not matter if you are parked on an flat surface or not unless the suspension is flex.

I will say based on the pic you don't have 4.5" in the rear.

I believe it's 17.5 front, 17 rear. The rear is naturally lower than the front but only by design, not height.

I started out by taking measurements of his jeep to see where it sat before the lift. Stock Cherokee measurements are 17.5" for the front and 17" for the rear when measured from the center of the wheel hub to the bottom of the stock fender flare. Here are his measurements, front and rear.

That's where I got my info. Your first post said 17 front, 17.5 rear. Just correctin ya

i have remeasured and the front is 19.5" and the rear is 20.5" hear are some clearer photos

so i guess you have about 2'' on the front and 3'' on the back.....
