I have searched the forums and didn't find much on the subject. I want to take these stock flares off, do I just rip them off? If I do that (which I've tried already...) I see some clips or something that hold it in place. How do I remove these and what are they exactly? It appears that under the flares something else is their, don't know what it's called and it's being held by 10mm's or something.
If it's already been answered, I apologise and you can just post a link or tell me where to go. Thanks.

10mm nuts inside the wheel well... take all of them off and the fender flares will come off... just did mine... have fun cause they like to break off... i jacked mine up for more room and stuck a drill in there to make it easier... and yeah i answered a guy this i think last week but seem to come up alot! goodluck!!
yea, i just did mine last week. i think huntingman helped me out haha. 10mm nuts on the inside. LOTS OF THEM!! A lot of people say they break. Mine didn't, but I guess I got lucky. Just be careful with them anyway. Spray them with PB if you need to.

What's PB? I've seen it said around here and just cannot for the life of me remember what it is. Sorry.

Well what's the full name? I have WD-40 so I'm all set on that. Honestly I don't care much for breaking the nuts either as I'm going to trim after anyway.

i brake all mine... and youll still get the flares off... the flares have studs really so if you brake the stud they will still come off... i trimmed my fenders on the outside of all the holes for the flares... made it easy to get a straight line and it left enough for me to tack weld the inner and outter fenders back for strength being it is a unibody... i didnt get as much clearance as some of these guys but mines still strong... taking the flares off gave me like and inch and then trimming gave me like an inch... after i did that i didnt rub anymore so i was good...
it's called PB Blaster. Pretty much any auto parts store will carry it....napa, schucks, autozone etc. If you don't care about breaking the studs off the flares just go for it and reef on the nuts. (haha reef on the nuts) and break 'em off. Flares should come right off.
I took my flares off. There's all those holes from where the mounting bracket used to be so I'm thinking that since I'm at college right and don't really have tools/a spot to cut the fenders, that I could just put some acorn nuts on there for the time being. I think it'd look pretty sick.

Well I used WD-40 and I still can't even move then. I guess I can cut them, what tools would be the most efficient here?
The stock flares just "pop off". If you take out the little bolt(10mm IT?) at the bottom of the flare, then pull up,back and out at the same time and they should pop off! Hope this helps.
