Default stock bumper D-rings!

hey i saw a pic of some guy on another forum with d rings on a stock bumper he had them coming out of his two end caps and im assuming somehow welded or bolted to the frame....im just interested to see if anyone around here is running the same setup?

Did he include a pic of his bumper being torn off when he used the D rings?

haha no....im trying to post some pics of it but what he did was got the mounting plates for the frame and then welded d ring tabs onto the plates and had the tabs running out thru his endcaps then threw some shackles on it

oh sorry no the same thing i was talking about but i have seen that as well and it looks good like he bought jcr tie in brackets and welded them up, just seems a little extensive for d-rings but I do like the way it looks.

yea i kinda liked it to was thinking about trying it....comes in handy if you dont have the money for a new bumper

Looks clean.... but I prefer the protection of the aftermarket bumper that comes with d-ring mounts. The stock bumpers aren't worth a damn.

X2 i ordered these a while back. ive used them quiet a few times to get my dumb friends unstuck. they work great. the only problem is the company it took over a month to receive them and when i did half of the hardware was missing.

actually you can see them in my avatar and i think there are better pics in my profile if anyone is interested

That sucks. I know the company was going through some major changes a while back so maybe you just caught them at a bad time. I love them though. I haven't pulled anyone out yet but I have gotten pulled out with them haha. Ill post a pic or two of them in my album.

yea ill prolly end up ordering a set of those....i just thought what this guy did was kinda different and really doesnt look that bad if your tryin to keep the stock look ya know

haha if you think you could use a stock bumper as a tow point you shouldnt even own a car.
