Thanks Pdem87. That is a good point i overlooked. Ill drive it up to autozone see if they will let me use a multimeter. I need to borrow their steering wheel puller to put in a new ignition switch anyways.

Is this the correct part? http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...980_0336127703 They offer 2 but this one is in stock and it visually appears to have a longer cable.

Be sure to route the wires properly!

I do not. I have a dremel but this really isnt something im comfortable with. Im concerned even with trying to replace this on my own but it needs to be done!
I had to get real creative yesterday. The bracket that holds the rearview mirror fell off and down into the defrost vent and i was worried about it working its way into a blower motor of some sort and chewing it up. I came up with this doo hickey to retrieve it.
Sure aint pretty but im proud of myself! =P Dont even know if it wouldve truly been a problem.

Was the new CPS an OEM from the dealer? The parts store CPS's have had problems reported in the past. Most people recommend using only sensors from the dealer.

Verify the CPS is good, and if so a failing MAP sensor or the vac line to it may be the culprit. A borrowed MAP from most GM products can be used to verify if the MAP itself is bad, also I have seen Cruiser post the test for that also here somewhere.

No the cps was not dealer. The dealer is completely unreasonable with prices. I got one from napa as i was told napa is an ok alternative. Got a 3 year warranty on the cps. I guess i can have it tested again. The vaccume lines in the jeep are all brand new. Ill have to check on how to test map.
