Default stereo help!

so I bought a wire adapter for my kenwood stereo for my 99xj. it has three plugs, two go to the ones coming out of the dash, and the third into the back of the stereo. there is also like 15 wires coming out of the middle of the whole thing. what are those for? will the stereo work if I just use the three plugs?

What you do is connect the wires from the vehicle adapter plug to the corresponding wires of the stereo plug. That allows you to plug-n-play, and not have to cut any wires in your Jeep's harness. Though you can use crimp connectors, I recommend soldering connections and covering with heat shrink.

If I've mis-interpreted what you're asking, let me know.

I just use but connectors and tape the bunch together so im not trying to cram a bird nest of wires in the dash. you don't need much tape just a few wraps!
