The splines for the wheels are the same but i think there is a depth issue. The steering column length is different and compensated by dish of the steering wheel i think.

Dunno, if you could find a newer model and swap them out and see what it looks like. The other option is to buy like a grant wheel and adapter to get the look you are looking for.

Yeah because i have a 94 that i would like a new wheel on but just haven't changed it out. I do know that the splines are the same though cause i had a 92 xj wheel on my 97 tj which is the same as the late model xjs.

Up to (IIRC) 96 the XJ's had/have a GM-style coulmn.
I have seen a few early XJ's in the JY with Chevy truck-like wheels
(No bowtie in center...just Jeep)
I believe that late 80's early 90's GM wheels will fit. I do not know EXACTLY as I no longer have the aftermarket wheel from my Bonneville to check.
I am throwing this out as an option, if you need more.
The aftermarket adapter kits aren't too expensive, but that also depends on the type of wheel you are looking at.
