Default Steering Stabilizer Replacement

I am replacing my stabilizer and can't get the bolt off that where the stabilizer is connected to the track bar. Took the cotter pin off and got the nut off but it won't budge from here.
My question is whether this is a threaded bolt through the tack bar or not? My replacement has a tapered sleeve that goes through the trackbar and does not actually thread into the trackbar.
I am debating doing the ZJ tie rod upgrade and track bar upgrade because I am also putting in the dodge Durango steering box.
I know someone will say just leave the stabilizer off but I have my wife driving the truck occasionally and it would be best to have it there.

I used a pickle fork on mine, but a tie rod puller could work too. Its not threaded in.

I wacked it with a ball peen hammer a few times and it came loose. This may not be the preferred method but it worked for me.

I used a tie rod end puller and worked good. Bought it at advance for $15. Prior to that I beat the crap out of it with a 4lb sledge and it wouldn't budge.

Tie rod puller works great. Don't wack it with a hammer, that is a good way to mess up the end of the bolt and deform it.

Thanks for the answers, heading there soon.

One more question in case anyone else chimes in.
What is the name of the part that connects the drag link and pitman arm?
Is it simply a sleeve and tie rod end?

It is just the adjuster sleeve on the drag link.

I couldnt get the stud out of my bent drag link either. I guess i ran it on with the impact or something.

I just did my stabilizer on the weekend. I had the same problem. I tried my three jaw puller but I broke it trying to get the end out of the center link. Then I got mad and hit it with a hammer a few times. Then I went out and bought a tie rod separator (pickle fork). That worked good but I couldn't get it all the way out since the bolt now had a head like a mushroom so I had to sawzall the deformed part.

After that, it came out real easy.

I used heat and penetrating oil. I use it for just about any bolt/nut that is frozen on. Another nice item to have is a 3lb brass hammer. You can best on stuff with a little more reassurance you wont destroy anything

The bolt is tapered so it can be a pain heat and beat always works best

My new stabilizer came with a new bolt so I wasn't concerned with the old one so the hammer proved to work best. I first tried a 3 jaw puller with no luck. If you're concerned about damaging the bolt just loosen the nut but leave it attached and hit the nut with a hammer thereby protecting the bolt end.

Did the new stabilizer make any sort of improvement?

um..haven't gotten it back together yet.
As I said I was doing the Durango steering box up grade so I am replacing drag link and tie rod as well.
If a job is slated to take 1 hours, it takes me 5.
24 years of rust and neglect from PO along with a bad back and two spinal fusions turns simple jobs into a nightmare.
Hopefully by Monday it will be back together.
