Jack it up. One tire at a time. And spin each tire if one doesn't spin you know you have a stuck or grabbing brake.

I only asked you if your jeep was lifted so I'd know if we were dealing with worn stock componants that could be causing your problems and not all the additional alignment problems that can be caused by an improperly installed or adjusted lift. So for your situation it's a good thing that you're not lifted yet.

it feels like it is doing it all the time. not just during braking and the wheel cylinders were not replaced

everything had been checked for inspection a week earlier. so all steering components and brakes were checked at that time. the only reason i couldnt get it inspected was for the back brakes. i've pretty much completely ruled at the brakes at this point so unless its something intermittent happening or a brake fails completely ill have to search somewhere else.

so my mechanic checked all the steering parts(and would've failed me if they were bad) my brakes aren't grabbing, and i had an alignment done a year or so ago and haven't replaced any steering parts causing a bad alignment again what else could it be? i haven't done anything to bend something to put it out of alignment either. is their something else it could be? am i missing something? should i just quit worrying and write it off as a jeep thing?

A draging brake might not fail an inspection because they could both have the same braking power when tested.
To be fair I couldnt feel mine draging when it started to, I only noticed it because it started to smoke real bad and when I had a look under the rotor was bright red and had sparks falling off it.

Wow thats a bad day. Anyway though I took the advice of a previous post and checked for any heat after driving home from work today and jacked it up to spin the tires. No heat and no drag. As far as I can tell its not dragging. Kinda wish it was because that would solve my problem and the po threw in a spare caliper when I bought it

Its worse when the pads and rotor are only a week old and youd put another caliper on there cause the origanal one was completly siezed
