A shot in the dark..... 4200 lbs...

If you have a scrap yard around you could drive up on their scale to find out. Maybe buy the guy behind the counter a soda for his time.

Over at jeepforum.com they show stock curb weight from 2900 to 3400, depending on 4X2/4X4, 2dr/4dr.

You could also go to a grain mill or a scale on the free way. You should get a 8,000lb winch.

Wow, what winch is $300? That's pretty cheap.

And 8-9,000lb winch is about right for a Jeep. Just think that if you get stuck in the mud, or hanging off a ledge or something.

I know if I had a winch, I would wheel a bit harder, haha.

My winch was 300 and I thought is was a great deal. I have never used it on myself but if I need it it is there. Now think of this. When you need to get un stuck or pulled off of something sometimes it takes much more then just pulling the weight of your rig. That is why they say to have twice the pulling power. And to be safe you should still have a ******. They are good to have around. lol But really you need one. Don't know if you ever see mud but stick your boot in some and try to pull it out. Sometimes it can take 5x the weight of the boot to pull the boot out.

Yeah I see mud especially hunting in the bottoms around my house I just don't get my jeep in mud strictly rocks and mountains lol I will get a ****** when I get a winch I can get a rc9500 for 300 at the local 4x4 shop but I just don't like the idea of paying 300 for the winch and may never use it but for a badlands. 5000 its 240 so why not just buy the rc for 300
